Le Le Pot 乐乐锅 Steamboat Dinner

Met my cousins for dinner, together with my brother at Le Le Pot!

乐乐锅 is at 58 Seng Poh Rd #01-23, just opposite Tiong Bahru Market.

Time to order!

We had the herbal chicken soup and the laksa soup.

Beef slices ... love!

Prawns (the pic makes them look bigger than they are! Hah!)

Crab roll or something like that, I cannot remember the name off hand now. Sorry!

3 layer pork (directly translated!)

We all loved the fried man tou with condensed milk.... really yum!

Pizza Sunday

On Sunday, the weather was so hot that venturing outdoors did not seem a good idea. So, it's time to order pizza. We decided on Canadian Pizza, trying 2 flavors we have not tried before.

The Mexican Fiesta pizza! Lean ground beef, chilli, capsicum!

And the Chicken Fajita pizza with Fajita Spiced Chicken, Onions, Capsicum and salsa.

Close up of the Mexican Fiesta. I preferred this over the Chicken Fajita one :)

Dental scaling for my dog soon!

One of my dogs is scheduled for a dental scaling next week. The vet said she has to do a consultation before I can make an appointment for dental scaling.

The consultation + blood test cost $147+

This is not including the cost of the dental scaling which I am estimating to be around $200-$300? Hopefully not more than that. Dogs have to be anesthetized for this. Will be dropping her off at the vet in the morning and picking her just before dinner time.

On a lighter note, my dog is obese and is now on veterinary fat burners.

Oh yeah, I kid you not.

The Mexican Taco Bar @ Plaza by the Park

Went to The Mexican Taco Bar @ Plaza by the Park to have Mexican food with my brother. It was pretty good, I has a beef burrito set that came with a soup. It's only $7.90 for the set! Food was pretty yummy, my brother loved it and wants to go back again soon.

If you're interested, here's where they are located at:

Krabi... soon!

I'm leaving for Krabi in about a week's time, next Monday to be exact.
Beach bunny, I am not. But it's great to have a different kind of holiday.

We have booked out flights but still have not confirmed our hotel.
I'm going with 2 other girl friends. We're not going to share rooms though!
They sleep with the lights and TV on. I need to sleep in complete darkness and silence!

Can't wait!

Holiday Mood

Before leaving for my trip, I am already spending money. So wise.

I bought this leopard print combination lock for my luggage by Belle Hop. I got the gift set which also came with 2 luggage tags. $35.90 for 1 lock and 2 luggage tags. Expensive? I usually don't lock my luggage when I fly. Then again, I don't wanna lose my stuff. I see it more as a deterrent. If you think about it, how hard can it be to rip apart a luggage. Especially mine, where it's made of fabric. I bought this hot pink Guess trolley luggage when it was on sale. Easy to spot when it goes around the conveyor belt.

I am so in the holiday mood right now.

Nuffnang's Symposium

I'm attending Nuffnang's symposium tomorrow for Xiaxue's workshop with Joanne. After that we may be heading down to Marina Square to meet an ex-colleague of ours. It's almost midnight and I think I may try to sleep earlier tonight. I've been sleeping at almost daybreak for the past week. Daybreak as in like 6am, then I get up by noon. Need to pay my sleep debt tonight.

Thinking of squeezing a short bout of shopping before the symposium. I think that will depend on what time I wake up.

Yesterday, my mum asked me if I was interested of going to Guangzhou again. YES!!! The promise land of cheap shopping. Better still, we're flying to Macau before heading over to Guangzhou. I don't think I'll be staying that long. My mum is going there for 3 weeks. We only booked out outbound tickets. Uh huh, one way only. I haven't decided on a return date yet.

The last time I was in Macau, I did not gamble. All I did was hang around while others played. I just consumed the free drinks and sandwiches. Hur hur. With all the casino craze going on, maybe I should just go play! At least don't have to pay $100 to go in.

My mum is also asking me if I want to stop by Hong Kong. Maybe I'll fly back from Hong Kong. I'm leaving next Thursday. Can't wait to go.

I went out to meet friends for mid week drinks. I reached home at almost 4am, had the sudden urge to do laundry and did a face mask as well. When I have late nights out, sometimes, I'm lazy and wash my face with .... soap. Yes, I do that at times. When I have more time, or when I am not that sloshed, I usually remove my make up with make up remover wipes before using facial wash. These wipes help me remove some of the waterproof mascara and other stuff so it cuts down on my cleansing. It's my lazy skin care routine short cut.

When I really have time on my hands, I like to remove my make up with cleansing oils. My favorite? Shu Uemura. To the uninitiated, to cleanse with something that is oil based may sound illogical, especially if you have oily skin. But hey, soap is also made of oils.

I used to have combination skin. As I grew older, my skin turned dry and yet I was using lots of products meant for oily skin. Now I have dry skin and yet my nose still produces oil that can turn oil blotters translucent.

It's now 5.30am and I'm off to bed.

Goodnight world :)
