Hello Macau

Took a day trip over to Macau last week, took a ferry over from Hong Kong. It was pretty cold last week, the temperature hovered around 10-18 degrees Celsius. I was at the ferry terminal with my brother where he found out that the Foo Fighters concert he was supposed to attend in Singapore on the 2nd of March was cancelled. After that our ferry timing was delayed half an hour. Luckily there was free wifi at the ferry terminal.

Bought Jagabee to snack on during the ferry trip!

Clearing customs at Macau before hopping onto our hotel's coach. The best thing about moving around in Macau, is that you don't have to spend a dime on transport if you know which hotel coaches to hop around on. Very economical. Haha.

This trip, I stayed at the Galaxy Hotel, near the Venetian. I love this hotel.

Galaxy Hotel has the most comfy beds with super fluffy pillows!

We bought a bottle of Sunkist grapefruit and drank them in wine glasses heh heh.

Took a long bubble bath before hitting the casino!
They have controls in the bathroom so you can watch TV while soaking in the tub.
I love soaking in bath tubs to melt the stress away.

Slot machines, the only thing I know how to play at casinos.
I'm not a very good gambler and table games stress me out.
Anyway, end of the night, I lost money. The house always wins. Haha.

They have a Jelly Belly store in the hotel!
But certain flavors I wanted, like Dr Pepper weren't available.

The next day, crossed the border to Zhuhai. Bye bye Macau!

Overdue post, I know. It's already past the new year and I'm just posting about Christmas. Christmas is best spent with family and loved ones and every year my family will go out and have a feast. This time, we headed to Cafebiz at Traders Hotel for a buffet lunch. Cute Christmas decorations every where, love love love. Photos from my instagram!

The food was good too!

I absolutely love love love cheese.

Ham dressed up pretty festively, I may say!

Fried rice with scallops

Seafood!

I think this was a lamb dish ....

And we ended the meal with M&M Cupcakes and lattes.

Hope every one had a merry merry Christmas :)

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

I spent the cross over from 2011 to 2012 at home with my family having a BBQ. Cousins came over and we had loads of fun eating. Here's my adorable little 9 month old niece!

The little one likes chew on paper and is fascinated by mobile phones!

We ended the night playing sparklers that Uncle Daniel brought along!

Leaving on a jet plane

I recently took a 6am flight to Macau. Given a choice, I really wouldn't want to catch a flight at this hour. Had to leave for the airport at 4am. I usually sleep really late and the morning I was supposed to leave, I ended chatting with my brother till 4am then left for the airport. Didn't sleep at all. To top it off, I don't sleep well on flights. Ended up arriving in Macau very very very very sleep deprived.

The only good thing about catching a flight at this time, was that I managed to watch an amazing sunrise! It was raining when I boarded the plane. Luckily there wasn't much turbulence.

I bought a packet of Animal crackers as my on board flight. Brought a book on board as well just in case I couldn't sleep. I really couldn't sleep in the end and ended up making my animal crackers pose of pictures and taking pictures of the amazing sunrise :)

Here are pictures of the amazing sunrise and the obligatory pictures of clouds everyone takes. The clouds outside the plane on the day of my flight looked super dense. It looked like a snow scape instead of clouds!

This little light of mine

This cute little thing was purchase from Daiso, the $2 store. Sadly, after moving houses, I'm not really too sure where it went. It's a pretty little thing to have in your room, hypnotic to look at and a great subject to photograph as the color changes every few seconds.
